Although I did not turn to Christian Science for a physical healing, I am thankful to say that I have had many, including those of blood poisoning (septic infection), broken bones, the smoking habit, and lack of employment.

I want to express my gratitude particularly for an instance of protection, which proved so clearly that when we sincerely try to pray constantly, God sends His angels to protect us from seeming danger. I entered a manufacturing plant which is located in a basement. When I went in and closed the door behind me, I missed the top step and began falling down the stairs. God's angel came to me in the realization that His child cannot have a broken bone. The fall consisted in a complete somersault; my hat was left crushed halfway down the flight, and I landed at the foot in a sitting position with my overcoat over my head. I had some canned goods in my hand, some of which were broken open from the impact, but not even my glasses were disturbed. After I had given a prayer of thanks to our Father-Mother God, I arose, dusted off my clothes, and went about my business as usual. From the material standpoint this might have been a very serious accident. This demonstration of protection has meant much to me because of the lesson it taught.

I can never express the gratitude I feel for the blessings, both physical and spiritual, which have come to our family through Christian Science. I am so thankful that my wife and I turned to this Science and have been studying it together, for this has proved a great blessing to us.
