Love Always the Victor

I stand as sentry at the door of thought,
Guarding the entrance to my fortress strong,
The sword of Truth held fast in my right hand,
And Love's bright armor on.

Clad thus, what error can affect God's child?
What seeming discords tempt us from Love's tower?
With sword in hand we keep our watch and ward,
Rejoicing in His power.

Though error's host may seem to throng the dusk,
And phantom fears ask us their woes to bear,
We may remember only good is real,
Divine Love everywhere.

The radiance of Love shines through the gloom,
The sword of Truth all fears and discords shun.
The fight is ours, the errors melt and flee
Like shadows 'neath the sun.

And as the light of Truth dawns on our sense,
We see that good prevails whate'er betide;
In quiet peace we may pursue our way,
Safe in His love abide.
