Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

New York.

An assistant in the library in a town where there is no Christian Science organization read the works of Mrs. Eddy that were on the shelves. Later, all uninvited, she began attending the near-by society. This was about two years ago. At that time there was owing to her father a sum of money on a patent. The case had been in court for twenty years and the lawyers told him that though he would surely have a favorable settlement, it might take years longer. She says that dating from the time of her sincere study of Christian Science, and especially after she attended services, the case in court began to move. Step by step, to the apparent amazement of the lawyers, it progressed, and last spring, just after her father had been laid off by the company for which he worked, he received his check of one hundred and ten thousand dollars paid in full, plus costs on the case.

A librarian in a public library wrote: "I have found The Christian Science Monitor very helpful this year, especially for bulletin board material, pictures, and articles. Such a gift is especially appreciated in a library like ours where the budget is limited."
