In gratitude for the many blessings I have received...

In gratitude for the many blessings I have received through the study and application of Christian Science, I should like to add my testimony to the many others.

For many years I suffered from despondency, which was overcome with the help of a loving practitioner who showed me that our experiences are the expression of our thinking and that in order to be free and happy we must entertain only thoughts that come from God, good. This healing also taught me that discouragement is merely an attempt of error to hinder progress and, since it has no place in God, I, as His child, cannot possibly be discouraged or despondent.

One of the healings for which I am most grateful is that of overweight. In taking up work for this I learned to feed hunger, but not appetite; also, that food has no power. Jesus said, "Take no thought . . . what ye shall eat."
