Not only do I want to express my gratitude to God for the good that has come to me through the study and application of Christian Science, but I feel it is my duty to tell others of the blessings I have received.

I did not take up the study of Christian Science for my own benefit, although I was greatly in need of the help I received. For a number of years I had been a victim of epilepsy, and was in such a state of nervousness and fear that I was afraid to be alone for a single minute. I took up the study to help a member of my family; and after a few days I decided that if I was going to help anyone else I should have to rely on this Science myself. Therefore. after three days' study I dropped all material remedies and have never relied on them since, and I have never had an epileptic spell since that time. This healing took place about twenty years ago, and I have lost all sense of nervousness and fear.

I wish also to express my gratitude to God for the spiritual understanding I am gaining each day, and I thank Him reverently for the sustaining hand that has upheld me when loved ones have passed on. I am more than grateful that I have learned that our mission on this earth is to learn to know God in order that we may reflect Him and "live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world." I thank God for our dear Master and Way-shower, and for our beloved Leader, who has made plain to us the way of Truth.
