From Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

With the approval of The Christian Science Board of Directors, your Committee prepared and delivered "A Talk on World Peace" before the Open Road Club of San Francisco State College, which had invited him to do so. This address was subsequently repeated before several other organizations, including Second District Parent-Teacher Association, San Francisco; Christian Science Organization, Stanford University, at a meeting which was open to all students of the university; the Rotary Club of North Sacramento, and the Rotary Club of Redding; and Christian Science Organization at Mills College.

In connection with the activity of this office, co-operating with the Circulation Department of The Christian Science Monitor to obtain subscriptions to the Monitor from newspaper editors in exchange for the publishing by these editors of advertising for our newspaper, there have been some interesting experiences. At least two such editors have become readers of Christian Science literature. One of these, who was frankly hostile when first approached on the proposition, has requested a copy of our textbook and now, through this office, purchases the Christian Science Quarterly.

Many splendid comments have come from other editors, a typical one being the following: "I believe it is the general opinion of newspapermen, in which I enthusiastically concur, that the Monitor is one of the world's finest newspapers, and I value the privilege of having it come to my office daily. I go through every issue with keen interest."
