Jesus
likened those who heard his sayings, but did not obey them, to a foolish man who built his house upon sand, and pointed out that it therefore could not withstand the storms and floods which beat upon it.
Louis N. Denniston, Committee on Publication for the State of Connecticut,
When my attention was called to the brief comment in a recent issue, having the word "menace" in the headline and giving a brief resume of a lecture containing references to Christian Science, my memory reverted to the time when Christian Science, the outstanding contribution in our time to the uplifting of humanity physically, morally, mentally, and spiritually, was beginning to become known for what it is.
Lieut. Col. Robert E. Key, District Manager of Committees on Publication for Great Britain and Ireland,
Your correspondent, while expressing interest in and sympathy with the teachings of Christian Science, falls into the error of confusing it with human philosophy.
With the approval of The Christian Science Board of Directors, your Committee prepared and delivered "A Talk on World Peace" before the Open Road Club of San Francisco State College, which had invited him to do so.

In
announcing the resignation of Miss Violet Ker Seymer as an Associate Editor of The Christian Science Journal, the Christian Science Sentinel, and the various editions of The Herald of Christian Science, The Christian Science Board of Directors makes public the following communications:
Churches and societies in Great Britain and Ireland and on the Continent are reminded that applications for lectures should be made by the Clerks in June, as soon as possible after the names of the lecturers assigned to these countries are announced, following the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church, and not later than July 1.
With joy and gratitude for the many blessings which have come to me through my understanding and application of Christian Science I give this testimony.
Mary E. McWillis
with contributions from Alice Kent Wilson
Not only do I want to express my gratitude to God for the good that has come to me through the study and application of Christian Science, but I feel it is my duty to tell others of the blessings I have received.
For the peace, joy, health, and happiness which are mine through the study and application of Christian Science, I wish to express my sincere gratitude.
The Tenets of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, for the use of branch Churches of Christ, Scientist, are printed on sheets containing space for adding the application forms for membership in branch organizations, or extracts from their by-laws.
