A Needed Thought

Cease now your anguished crying,
The thought came clear to me;
It stands not for God's goodness,
It is disloyalty.

You know that God's own wisdom,
And His all-conquering love,
Will clear the way before you,
And Truth and goodness prove.

Praise Him by joyous trusting
Through all the busy day;
In moral courage waiting,
To find the open way.

For doubt, distrust, and hatred
Must as vain shadows flee,
And men meet men as brothers,
In true humility.
