Announcement

We wish to announce at this time that Miss Evelyn F. Heywood, of London, England, has been appointed to succeed Miss Violet Ker Seymer as an Associate Editor.

Miss Heywood received her early education on the Continent and in Ladies College of Cheltenham, England, later studying in Germany and Italy. She writes and speaks in the French, German, and Italian languages.

Miss Heywood was formerly a member of the Church of England. She became a member of The Mother Church in 1908, and joined First Church of Christ, Scientist, Bournemouth, England, in 1910, serving as First Reader for a term of three years, and later, as Committee on Publication for Hampshire, England. She became a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, London, in 1918, and she has served that church as Chairman of the Executive Board, Superintendent of the Sunday school, and in other capacities.

Miss Heywood was a member of the Normal Class of the Board of Education of The Mother Church in 1937, at which time she became an authorized teacher of Christian Science. Miss Heywood will take up her new duties as an Associate Editor of the periodicals early in February.
