For all the years of blessings and benefits derived from...
For all the years of blessings and benefits derived from the study and practice of Christian Science, I should have long since proffered my testimony, for I realize, as never before, that I could hardly have withstood all the conflicting experiences and prejudices that have confronted me through these years without Christian Science. I thank God for His unfailing care in alleviating and helping me to overcome, through Truth, the many obstacles throughout a period of more than twenty-five years.
I did not seek Christian Science because of the need of physical healing. Having been reared in the orthodox thought, I awakened one day to the realization that I really did not seek God in sickness, loss, sorrow, disappointments, or other trials, and it was then that I sought Christian Science. Since then, I have come to know my great need of God every day and every hour.
Three years after taking up the study of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, I was healed of double pneumonia. We have had many other wonderful healings in our home. Mere words could never adequately express the peace and solace which Christian Science brought to me when earthly possessions were swept away, leaving us homeless.
