Distance is no obstacle to divine Mind
Distance is no obstacle to divine Mind. About twenty years ago, while we were living in a foreign country, our baby was healed by Christian Science treatment.
After a consultation of doctors, we had given up all hope of saving the little one. The nearest practitioner of whom I knew was fifteen hundred miles away. I wrote a letter asking for treatment for the baby. The healing must have been instantaneous, for he began to improve just as soon as the letter could have been received.
I want to mention another healing which occurred at the same time, but I did not recognize it as a healing or realize its importance until many years later. A relative-in-law whom I thought I did not love, and who was not welcome in my home, called unexpectedly, and on seeing how ill the baby seemed to be, began to cry with me; and she and I embraced each other warmly and with love. For over a month the baby had not been able to retain any food or water, but from then on he began to retain everything and improved steadily.
