So many proofs of the guiding and healing power of Christian Science have come to me, that it is now my desire to express sincere gratitude to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, through whom this God-inspired revelation was given in this age.

More than twenty years ago it was my privilege to witness a healing in this Science which led me to read the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. During the first reading of this wonderful book I was entirely healed of the desire for smoking, which was a habit of many years' standing. Shortly thereafter I was healed of a poisoned condition of the foot, which yielded to the power of Truth in one treatment by a consecrated practitioner. At a later date protection was extended through absent treatment during a period of military service, and upon discharge from the army I was guided, by relying wholly on the one infinite Mind, to what proved to be my right place in the business world. At that time it was necessary to take up some new business problems in which it did not seem that progress was being made towards a proper solution. After again securing help from a practitioner, I was given the following statement from Science and Health (p. 199): "The devotion of thought to an honest achievement makes the achievement possible;" and, from that point on, the work unfolded in an orderly and harmonious manner and was satisfactorily completed at the appointed time.

In the intervening years there have been continued manifestations of the ever-presence and power of God, and of Christ, the divine idea of God, which has come to meet our every need. I am grateful for all of these blessings and for an increasing measure of spiritual understanding, which progressively unfolds in our daily study and application of Christian Science.
