It has long been my desire to express my sincere gratitude for the many blessings I have received since taking up the study of Christian Science. Rather more than thirty-four years ago a very dear friend of our family was healed of gallstones through Christian Science treatment when several physicians had failed to help her. This seemed almost a miracle to us.

About twenty-five years ago I, too, turned to Christian Science for help, because physicians had told me that I was suffering from an incurable stomach trouble, and I was also told that I must undergo a serious operation for an internal trouble. The same friend who had been healed several years before came to me and invited me to her home to tell me something of Christian Science. She was then doing healing work. I was indeed very happy to learn of the wonderful truth that makes men free. I borrowed from her the textbook, Science and Health by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and began a very careful study of this, together with the Bible. I also asked for Christian Science treatment, and in a very short time I was healed.

I began to attend the church services regularly and enrolled my two children in the Christian Science Sunday School, for which I am very thankful. After earnestly studying for about three years, I made application for membership in a branch church and also became a member of The Mother Church, for which I am most grateful. It has been a privilege to serve in several capacities.
