I began to study Christian Science eleven years ago as the result of a healing experienced by my sister. She had been suffering from a disease of the liver, and all hope that she would recover had vanished. Then we were advised to have treatment for her in Christian Science. On the day after a practitioner had seen and helped her, her condition improved perceptibly, and after a few treatments she was entirely well.

Since at that time there was very little Christian Science literature translated into Spanish, and as I do not know the English language, I was limited to studying the Bible and reading the religious articles in Spanish in The Christian Science Monitor, and other articles which were translated for me by a friend, a Christian Scientist. In addition, I added the services of the church on Sundays and Wednesdays, and although I did not understand what was said, the peace that I found in these meetings comforted me so much that I felt I was growing spiritually.

Afterwards the weekly Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly were translated for us into Spanish, and our friends lovingly translated the testimonies given in English at the Wednesday services; now we have services in Spanish.
