A Christian Science period in the Columbia "Church of the Air"...

A Christian Science period in the Columbia "Church of the Air" series was conducted from Station WABC, New York City, Sunday afternoon, October 22, 1939, at one o'clock (Eastern Standard Time), by John A. Meeker, a former First Reader of Second Church of Christ, Scientist, New York City. This program was presented under the auspices of the Committee on Publication for the State of New York, with the approval of The Christian Science Board of Directors. Mrs. Helen Young, soloist, was assisted by Miss Margrette Westlake Powers at the organ.

The program was opened with the singing of Hymn No. 224 in the Christian Science Hymnal. Then Mr. Meeker read selections from the Bible as follows: John 4:5,6 (to:), 7,9 (to?), 10,11,13,14; Romans 8:1,2,5,9 (to first period), 12, 14–17 (to second;), and from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy: 209:5–8, 10–11; 225:14–16; 227:24–26; 228:11–16; 393:8–13, 16–18; 387:27–32; 249:6–9; 208:20–24.

Mr. Meeker continued the program by reading an address substantially as follows:
