Many years ago the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, was brought into our home by a dear friend and practitioner with these words: "The greatest treasure in the world is in this book, and all you have to do is to make it your own." I am grateful to say that I am learning what an inexhaustible treasure Truth is. Every member of our family has been blessed by, and has experienced, the healing power of Christian Science.

When I first began to study Science and Health, its irrefutable logic appealed to my thought, and I felt that if one premise was true, all of this Science must be true. I reasoned that if I could prove just one statement contained in this book, then I would know that Christian Science is the truth, the Comforter promised us by Jesus. Very soon the opportunity came. I had quite a severe cold, so I sat down with the textbook, turned to page 410, and began to read. I denied the error and affirmed the truth as taught in the pages under the subheading "Mental Treatment Illustrated." I was immediately freed from the cold. Then I knew that Science is truly the treasure "of great price," and that I must study it, and make it my own.

Since that time I have had many healings. Some of them have been instantaneous, others have taken a longer period of time, but I can truly say that Christian Science has never failed when it has been properly applied. I have been healed of chronic indigestion, eczema in a virulent form, influenza, the social drink habit, excessive smoking, faults of disposition, and many other difficulties.
