I should be glad if you would kindly grant me space to reply to "Maran-atha," who contributed to your columns recently. "Maran-atha" first takes exception to the statement made by a Christian Science lecturer that there are, in the Bible, two contradictory accounts of creation. That the two records of creation given in Geneisis are dissimilar is now generally conceded by Bible students.

The writer then confuses Christian Science with Buddhism. On this subject Mrs. Eddy has written in "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany" (p. 119): "Think not that Christian Science tends towards Buddhism or any other 'ism.' Per contra, Christian Science destroys such tendency."

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 275) Mrs. Eddy writes, "Spirit Life, Truth, Love, combine as one,—and are the Scriptural names for God." Spirit, God, can never be limited. Life, Truth, and Love are infinite, and are therefore available everywhere. They cannot be finite.
