With a heart filled with a gratitude that cannot be expressed in words for Christian Science and its loving, patient, and courageous Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy, I should like to share with others some of the benefits and healings I have received through the practice of this Science.

Eighteen years ago, after suffering for a number of years from indigestion, constipation, and a nervous condition which caused me to be filled with fear a large portion of the time, and made me afraid to eat many kinds of food, I was persuaded by friends, after trying almost every human method of relief, to seek Christian Science help. An osteopath and also a medical doctor had informed me that they could do no more for me, and I was unable to work. Very much discouraged, I sought the help of a Christian Science practitioner. After fifteen days' treatment I was able to walk a distance of some three miles to the office where I had been employed. I resumed my work, much to the surprise of those who thought I could never again do office work.

Not understanding how the healing had been brought about, I at once began an earnest study of Christian Science. As a result, I have gained a better understanding of God and man's relation to Him, and a more harmonious life has been the outcome. Many times this understanding of God, the one and only creator of the universe and man, has enabled me to turn away from the erroneous testimony of the senses and thus to realize the healing truth. Some seven years ago, the desire for the use of tobacco was destroyed completely overnight.
