From childhood I had been subject to constipation and had continually taken laxatives, until sentence was passed upon me that in order to save my life an operation to remove part of my intestines would be necessary. However, the day before this operation was to take place, my husband was advised to try Christian Science. This counsel was immediately accepted for both of us, and through this Science I received an instantaneous healing, for which I shall always be grateful.

I want to thank the practitioners and all who have been helpful in bringing Christian Science to our home. Since my first healing, which took place seventeen years ago, we have not had a doctor visit us, not have we had a bottle of medicine in our home, for our boys always have been helped by the realization of the presence of our omnipotent God, who is Truth and Love.

For healings too numerous to mention I am indeed very grateful; also to Mary Baker Eddy for Science and Health and all her writings, and for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church.
