Happiness through True Witnessing

By means of constantly unfolding obedience to the demands of divine Principle, invariable happiness may be demonstrated in Christian Science. "Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth." One cannot be a good watchman on his own behalf without setting himself to realize that God's law of perfection is in operation throughout the one spiritual creation, for only by means of this realization is it possible to rise above the personal sense of evil. One wins the right to happiness through obeying the lesson of the beam and the mote on which Christ Jesus laid emphasis.

A student of Christian Science may be tempted to accept the mortal mind suggestion of handicap due to the false thinking supposed to be directed against him by others. Should he accept this suggestion, he would be self-condemned by "that thing which he alloweth" in his consciousness. Any tendency to indulge the belief in what may be termed retaliatory condemnation begets unhappiness, for it mars the reflection of divine Love. The Golden Rule must govern not only one's actions, but also one's thoughts in regard to all one's fellows.

"Judge not according to the appearance," Jesus said, "but judge righteous judgment." As we mete out righteous judgment from the standpoint of divine Principle, we enjoy peace of mind and unalterable happiness. Through spiritual allegiance to God, omnipotent good, we rejoice in the perfection of God and man, which knows no lapse either in cause or effect.
