It has been my happy experience to be a student of Christian Science for twenty-five years, and I have found it efficacious in our household of seven. Our eldest daughter found rich proofs of the truth of Christian Science in her college career.
Due to the study and application of Christian Science, and with a practitioner's help, I have had a number of outstanding healings, including that of anemia and an instantaneous healing of chronic catarrh. A misplaced organ, for which an operation had been advised but not performed, went back into place.
I am particularly grateful for protection in our household. On an occasion my young daughter, aged four, had climbed out of her window and walked along the flower box to the window of the next room. This was on the second floor of our home. I looked up as her shadow crossed my book, where I sat reading an article entitled "Unselfed Love," in a copy of The Christian Science Journal. I seemed prepared for that which I was to encounter. I recognized this as an opportunity to use practically the truths I studied, and instantly came the message, God gives life, not destruction. Without speaking to the child I walked slowly into the next room and found her safe. She had quietly retraced her steps to her own room. Great is my joy for the evidence of God's ever-available protection!
