Tromso Stiftstidende

In the Tromso Stiftstidende recently there was a book review in which Christian Science, under the erroneous name of "scientism," is mentioned as one of "the many peculiar movements which have come to the front in our time," and the reviewer also states that it "covers itself with the name of 'Christian.'"

It is evident that neither the author of the book nor the reviewer has first-hand knowledge of the Christian Science movement. If they had, it would have been clear to them that Christian Science is based on the Bible, and especially on the words and works of Christ Jesus. It has therefore a right to the name of "Christian." If there is anything "peculiar" about it, compared with other church denominations, it is perhaps this: that the Christian Scientists strive to follow the command of Jesus to heal the sick, as was done by the apostles and the first Christians.
