A Happy Face

A well-known speaker is reported to have said that in his opinion the most beautiful thing in the world is a happy face.

Though some people may not agree with him, many will; for who has not watched with pleasure a happy face shining among the troubled faces of the average crowd, or felt the relief that a happy person immediately brings into some seemingly tense situation?

In remembering the happy faces of certain ones who have crossed our path, many of us are struck by one outstanding fact, namely, that the happy thoughts outwardly manifested in expression were invariably the outcome of unusually unselfish lives. These happy ones may not have been rich, or famous, nor have occupied any exalted position. They probably had their trials and disappointments, as we have, but the light of unselfed love had so illuminated their human lives that they were enabled to find peace and satisfaction in aiding in every way possible to bring happiness to others.
