Christian Science was brought to my attention in July, 1911. Some months later I asked for treatment for rupture, having worn a truss for twenty-two years, and I was healed in one week. Since then God has been our only physician.

Eight years ago I was asked to teach a class of little children in Sunday school. The first Sunday I could not read the fine print of the Commandments and had to ask the children to spell several words for me. The thought came to me that if I got glasses I might dishonor God and think there was more power in glasses than in Truth. In Science and Health (p. 586) Mrs. Eddy defines "eyes" as "spiritual discernment,—not material but mental." She also says (ibid., p. 486): "Sight, hearing, all the spiritual senses of man, are eternal. They cannot be lost. Their reality and immortality are in Spirit and understanding, not in matter,—hence their permanence." I studied these statements thoroughly all week, together with the Bible. The following Sunday I could read the fine print, and the healing has been permanent.

For these healings and many others I am very grateful. My desire is to tell others of this beautiful truth, so they may be blessed, as I have been. I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy for the textbook; for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church; and to be able to serve in chuch work, in the Reading Room, or wherever I can in my Father's vineyard; I am grateful also for the literature, which does bless all mankind.—(Mrs.)Minnie Rode, Nameoki, Illinois.
