Several years ago a Christian Science Sentinel was given to me. At that time I was interested in another religious denomination and I knew nothing of Christian Science. After reading this Sentinel I silently told myself that if ever I had a testimony to give I should wish to have it published in this periodical, for I knew it would help others. Then I forgot all about it, or thought I did. Today, with deep gratitude, I write this—my promised testimony.

In the year 1934 I was suffering from what the doctors called congestion of the lungs. I had been suffering from this trouble for many years and had been treated by several doctors in America and also in other countries. After six operations, the trouble still persisted, and I was finally told that there was no help for me. A man who worked in the building in which I lived, advised me to try Christian Science. He was so sincere about it that I immediately visited a Christian Science Reading Room. I was received there with kindness and love; and the book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, was lent to me. The next day I visited a practitioner and was healed in one treatment. My family immediately became interested in Christian Science and since then it has been our only doctor.

I am deeply grateful to God, and to Mrs. Eddy who gave us Christian Science. Also to the practitioner who has always been so kind and willing to help me at all times. I am sincerely grateful for the periodicals and for all that Christian Science has done for me.
