I wish to express my deep gratitude for the many blessings that have come to me from the study of Christian Science. Although my father was a pharmacist, we were taught as children not to rely on medicine; and when Christian Science came to me I readily saw that it was the way of true healing.

During twenty years of study I have witnessed many physical healings in Christian Science. At a time when I had faith, but little understanding, my daughter was healed of scarlet fever in a very few days—to the amazement of relatives and friends. I have been healed of colds, influenza, dislocated bones, and of an ailment which, to mortal sense, seemed to necessitate an operation. Sorrow for the loss of a brother overseas was overcome when resentment and disappointment gave way to gratitude for the years we had spent together, and through the realization that there is no separation in Mind.

Proofs of God's protecting care have come repeatedly when avenues of supply have seemed completely cut off. Once, when I was in a situation that seemed hopeless to me, a Christian Science lecturer, dwelling in his lecture on spiritual inheritance, gave me food for thought. Within a month I found that I had inherited a sum of money from an uncle whom I had seen only twice in a quarter of a century.
