It is twenty-five years since I first heard of Christian Science, and my deep gratitude for the many instances of healing I have had impels me to share my experiences, in the hope that they will help those struggling with false beliefs.

Ever since childhood I was unable to go into a crowded or overheated room without fainting. At the first Christian Science service I attended I felt I was losing consciousness. My wife advised me to go out. I said, "No, I ought to be in my right place here, and if I faint there is help," although I knew practically nothing about Christian Science, nor had I read anything about it. I knew that it claimed to be a healing religion. I did not faint; I was healed.

Six weeks later I accidentally got my eyes filled with new lime. I decided to rely on Christian Science. The only sentence I knew from the textbook was that on page 494 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," where Mrs. Eddy states with assurance, "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." I thought, Yes, Love will meet my need. In less than five minutes I could open my eyes and the pain had entirely gone. In three days there was not a mark, and my eyes were normal.
