In gratitude to God, to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for the blessings received through the application of the truth as revealed in Christian Science, I submit this testimony.

I had never heard of this Science until a Christian Science Sentinel was given to me. I read it and became interested. In a very short time my desire to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy was fulfilled. While I was reading a borrowed copy of this textbook, quick temper, sore throat, and headaches fell away from me. None of my family was interested, so I kept my books out of sight. My progress was slow, but the seed had been sown, and about six years later I had the privilege of attending a branch church.

I have since been healed of grief, disappointment, fear of electrical storms, inflammatory rheumatism, eczema, a nervous condition, influenza, constipation, warts, fallen stomach, burns, stiff neck, indigestion, and kidney stones. The healing of kidney stones came about after my thought was healed of grief, resentment, hatred, self-pity, and self-condemnation, and by letting truth be poured into my consciousness "through flood-tides of Love" (Science and Health, p. 201). Some of these healings were instantaneous, others slow; some came about through the loving work of practitioners, others through my own understanding.
