I should like to express my sincere thanks for the help...
I should like to express my sincere thanks for the help which I have received through Christian Science. I had chronic stomach trouble, and on that account could eat only certain foods and could never drink cold water. Some years ago I was under medical treatment for this trouble, but as things grew worse instead of better, I gave up the medical treatment and continued to endure the suffering. Then I heard of Christian Science through friends, and asked a practitioner for treatment. Although I could not at first understand the subject very well, still I had confidence, and was healed after the first visit. I can now eat everything and drink cold water without fear of bad consequences.
It was somewhat longer before erysipelas, which I had had on my leg for over six years, was healed. I had sought help from two doctors, but it constantly grew worse. However, after several months of Christian Science treatment it was completely healed. During that time I read Christian Science literature a great deal, and gradually understood it better. I now know that in God's presence evil has no power, and that God, Love, has all power to heal our infirmities, as the Bible declares. I am happy that we can attend the services with a group of Christian Scientists. I am very grateful to the kind friends who called our attention to this Science, and likewise to the practitioner. I am also grateful for the glorious gift of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.—(Mrs.) Paulina Peise, Neu Wuerttemberg, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, South America.
