I have had many healings in Christian Science, physical, financial, and mental. One which stands out to me, and for which I feel very grateful, is a healing of homesickness. I was alone many miles from home, and early one evening I went out for a walk, but suddenly I was almost overwhelmed by a sense of homesickness and of being alone. I returned almost immediately to my room and began studying the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I knew that from this study I should receive the help I needed. In a very short time such a feeling of peace and the nearness of God came to me that it seemed as if the whole room was filled with an atmosphere of friendship. I was completely healed. The next day I met several individuals with whom a loving friendship unfolded. From this experience I have learned to some extent that the expression of Love is everywhere. We do not need to outline humanly how friendship shall be manifested to us. God's love is expressed to everyone and in such a way that it always meets the human need.

Another healing stands out to me. At one time I was expecting to take a certain course of study, and was so sure the plan would go through that when I was notified to the contrary, I burst into tears. Suddenly, the truth comfortingly came to me in these words from our beloved Leader's poem, "Mother's Evening Prayer" (Poems, p. 4):
