"Each waiting hour"

In her sermon "Christian Healing" (p. 1) our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, says, "To-morrow grows out of to-day." Thus we see that if we wish our tomorrow to be bright with fulfillment, we must use the present moments wisely, so that we may grow in spiritual understanding, overcoming error with the truth.

In the press of daily duties, we are sometimes confronted with tasks that appear to us to be insurmountable and impossible of accomplishment. A student of Christian Science once found that she was facing such a condition. Everywhere there were tasks to be done, and it seemed this was a barrier to her peace of mind. Thoughts of these tasks presented themselves even in moments of repose. At times, sleep seemed impossible. She had early formed the habit of repeating verses from the Bible and selections from our Leader's writings, also hymns from our dearly loved Hymnal. One night, in pondering the words from Mrs. Eddy's hymn, "Mother's Evening Prayer" (Poems, p. 4):
