A recent issue contains the report of a sermon in which some lack of knowledge regarding Christian Science and the spiritual interpretation of the Bible is shown.

The truth whereof Jesus said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free," is and must necessarily be scientific and demonstrable. For if it is not, it is neither true nor useful in the regeneration and salvation of mankind. When others accept this truth understandingly, they will heal the sick, as many thousands of Christian Scientists are doing now. In opposing Christian Science, critics are unconsciously opposing the very gospel which should be taught and practiced in the way Christ Jesus commanded.

Referring to Christian Science teaching, our critic says, "The root dogma is that matter does not exist." Mrs. Eddy, reasoning from the standpoint of spiritual Truth and substance, declares emphatically that there is no matter, and that material thinking from beginning to end is only the delusion of a false sense.
