I have long desired to have published abroad my deep gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me and is doing for my family continually, through healing and protection.

I was healed of bilious attacks that had bothered me for many years. After my first visit to a practitioner the power of Truth was made manifest. The healing effect was immediate. However, complete healing was slow, and I am grateful that it taught me that the work to be done was in my own consciousness. As faults of character, such as hate, selfishness, animality, were conquered, harmony was obtained, and discords such as constipation, headaches, profanity, and smoking were overcome.

I am grateful for the better understanding that I have gained of God, Christ, and man. I cannot express in words my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, our beloved Leader, for her life of unselfishness, purity, and love. I am also grateful for our periodicals, and to those who contribute to them, for class instruction, for the many opportunities to work in a branch church, and for membership in The Mother Church.

The desire of my life may be expressed in the words of our Leader as found in "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany" (p. 276), "To love God supremely, and my neighbor as myself."

I wish to verify my husband's testimony, and to add my own. I am very grateful for the good I am receiving constantly from the study of Christian Science.

In 1905 my parents began to inquire about Christian Science from friends, one of whom was a practitioner. I am grateful indeed to these friends who were so loving and patient in helping us to get started so that the seed of Truth might be sown.

Each member of our family is realizing the goodness of God and His protection, through his own study of this Science. In the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy refers to the Lord's Prayer, on page 16, as "that prayer which covers all human needs." In our early study of Christian Science we were urged to make use of the affirmations of the Lord's Prayer, and I was healed of pneumonia by applying the small understanding I had gained of its spiritual interpretation.

I am grateful for class instruction. It is helping me to "be about my Father's business." The Christian Science Sunday School is helping our young son to know himself as God's child, and also to apply the truth through the explanation of God as Love in overcoming fears that are common to little children.—(Mrs.) Alma M.
