[Report from Christian Science Organization at Stanford University, California]

We are grateful for the letters telling of progress, that have come to us from Christian Science college organizations in the United States and in England. We rejoice that these organizations are fulfilling in some measure the words of Mary Baker Eddy (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 236 ), "While age is halting between two opinions or battling with false beliefs, youth makes easy and rapid strides towards Truth."

There has been increased recognition of our Christian Science Organization by officers of the Associated Students. We also have cause to express gratitude for increased spontaneity in our weekly meetings, which have had an attendance of from thirty-five to fifty throughout the year. Several healings are known to have taken place during these Thursday evening meetings.

Progress in our organization this year has meant the taking of steps previously attempted but not proved. Last fall, a by-law was passed which extended voting privileges to all members. During the year the membership as a whole was inspired to gain a clearer vision by the loving answers to our questions by The Christian Science Board of Directors, and by the article on "Christian Science Organizations at Colleges and Universities" in the Christian Science Sentinel for March 27, 1937. Our by-laws now provide that only members of The Mother Church may become voting members, committee chairmen, or officers. Those members who have not yet attained Mother Church membership are allowed a voice in business meetings and participation in committee work.
