With a heart filled with gratitude I should like to express my appreciation for all the good received by me and mine from the study and application of Christian Science. Eleven years ago I was healed of kidney stones through the help of a practitioner, when I realized the truth contained in the statement by Mrs. Eddy in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health (p. 242), "In patient obedience to a patient God, let us labor to dissolve with the universal solvent of Love the adamant of error,—self-will, self-justification, and self-love,—which wars against spirituality and is the law of sin and death."

Later, when my small daughter was reaching for an object upon the kitchen cabinet, she looked up, and a part of the contents of a bottle of soldering acid fell into her eye. She began to scream, saying, "I can't see!" I took the child apart from the rest of the family. I realized that accidents are unknown in divine Mind, that inharmony cannot enter being, and that God's child is always perfect. She was instantaneously healed and calmly rejoined the family, with no effects afterwards. For these and numerous other healings and blessings I am truly grateful, and also for the help I have received from the daily study of the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly.
