The Christian Science Organization at Harvard University...

The Christian Science Organization at Harvard University is grateful for another year of progress and growth. The past year's activities began with an informal reception given for students of the university who in their registration had signified an interest in Christian Science. One of our privileges in being located so near to Boston is the opportunity of having one or more officers of The Mother Church or of the Publishing Society attend these receptions and join us in welcoming new students to the organization.

The organization sponsors two Christian Science lectures during the school year, one financed under the will of Mary Baker Eddy and the other by the organization itself, with the aid of the graduate members. Prior to lectures, a special meeting is called at which each member reads a short selection from the Bible or Mrs. Eddy's works on a subject assigned him by the lecture committee. This has proved a very helpful preparation for the lectures. As these lectures are primarily for the students of the university and their friends, notices usually appear only in the college paper and on the bulletin boards of the university buildings and houses.

During the past year the organization was fortunate in having the Clerk of The Mother Church speak to it on "Church and Church Membership." Other near-by Christian Science college organizations were invited to this meeting.
