It is with a heart full of gratitude for the understanding of God which I have received through the teachings of Christian Science that I wish to add my testimony to many others. Before knowing anything of this wonderful truth I was suffering from kidney trouble. I had consulted many of the best doctors and kidney specialists in our city and tried every material remedy that they suggested. Although they were very kind and did all they could for me, I never got any relief. I had very little hope for the future, and the last two doctors advised me not to become a mother in my present state of health.

Christian Science was then brought to my notice by a practitioner, but for some time I continued with the doctors. My mother read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and she and other members of the family advised me to visit the practitioner. I made several visits to her office, and she lovingly helped me and I very earnestly studied the Bible and Science and Health. Within a few weeks the symptoms of kidney trouble began to disappear, and within six months I was completely free from this trouble. That was over twelve years ago, and the complaint has never returned. Bilious attacks, from which I had suffered since early childhood, constipation, warts, and corns have disappeared during my study of Science.

It has been a wonderful help to have had Christian Science in rearing our children, and there have been many so-called childhood complaints overcome. When our first child was born I engaged a doctor, as there was much fear expressed by relations, and a distressing condition lasted many months afterwards, but was overcome by Christian Science treatment. When our second child was born, a Christian Science nurse was engaged and no material means were used; the birth was harmonious and there were no ill effects. A practitioner helped me at this time.
