After waiting many years, I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science by giving my testimony regarding its healing efficacy. Science has been my only help for over twenty years. As a small child I attended a Christian Science Sunday School for nearly a year. The only thought that seemed to stay with me was that God is Love and that He would always take care of me.

After I married I had an attack of the grippe and sore throat. The doctor had been coming for three or four days but I did not feel any better, so I decided to have Christian Science help, and a practitioner was called. She came and read to me for about twenty minutes and I was entirely free. In a few days I bought a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.

Soon after this I broke my glasses, which I had worn for over seven years for astigmatism that was gradually getting worse. I did work on this myself, and in about three months my vision was normal. It has remained so ever since. In our home we have had many beautiful healings. When loved ones have passed on, I think I could not have borne it had it not been for the help and comfort the truth has given me. One day I upset a pan of boiling water over my feet and limbs. The pain was intense at first, but I did not look at them, and just kept repeating, "God is my Life." In about twenty or thirty minutes they were normal.
