Home and Heaven
"Pilgrim on earth, thy home is heaven." These are the inspiring words written by Mrs. Eddy on page 254 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." And on page 587 she defines "heaven" as "harmony; the reign of Spirit; government by divine Principle; spirituality; bliss; the atmosphere of Soul."
This, then, is the conscious dwelling place of man in Science. It is a state of consciousness wherein harmony and spirituality only are known; wherein man is governed by divine Principle, ruled by Spirit, provided for and protected by one Father-Mother God. Home, therefore, in Science, is an established spiritual fact. It exists in Mind, and is in no danger of being approached by that which would disrupt its perpetual harmony or disturb its immovable peace.
In human experience, the manifestation of the spiritual idea of home is very important. Its joy and harmony are not determined by the size or location of the material structure or by any material condition. The true and beautiful sense of home may be maintained and expressed if one has but one room. Christian Scientists have an opportunity to enjoy and to present happy, wholesome human homes through the understanding and the correct practice of the teachings of Christ Jesus, as elucidated by Christian Science.
