Thank you for the kindly reference to Christian Science in your issue of March 13, commending the tenderness and love taught by this religion.

However, I should appreciate your permitting me to correct the misleading implication in the statement to the effect that Mrs. Eddy's teachings were in some way related to those of "old Dr. Quimby." Christian Science, as discovered and founded by Mrs. Eddy, is in no way related to any system which may have been practiced by Dr. Quimbly, as attested by the latter's son, George A. Quimby, when he wrote in 1901 that his father was in no way connected with Christian Science, and included the statement that "the religion which she [Mrs. Eddy] teaches certainly is hers."
