Topic: Overcoming Discouragement

[Editorial in the Columbia Gazette, Lake City, Florida]

Beyond earthly wisdom, beyond the transitory pleasures of this gray old globe, is the comfort, the miraculous protection and guidance ... given to those that trust in the Lord and His "ministering spirits," and at the same time strive ever to know and follow His will and do His work in matters temporal or spiritual.

So in this day of conflict and confusion ... it is well to brush the cobwebs and blow the dust off your old Bible and turn to the ninety-first Psalm of David and read and reread it: "Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. ... Because thou hast made the Lord ... thy habitation. ... Because he hath set his love upon me."
