One of the first healings I received in Christian Science was of a quinsy sore throat. I had been bothered since childhood with throat trouble and, while a very new student, I relied entirely upon Christian Science when a severe attack manifested itself. For two weeks I seemed to suffer greatly, and then one day, as the practitioner was visiting me, the swelling inside burst and there was immediate relief.

While I was grateful for this healing I was not a faithful student for several years. About ten years later I was telling a Christian Scientist about this experience and remarked that it always had seemed strange to me that this condition had taken so long to heal, and she said, "But it never came back again, did it?" Then I suddenly realized that it had not come back, and that I had been free all these years of this old complaint. This was a turning point for me, for I became an earnest student after that and was grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church.

I can testify to many blessings which have come to me and to my family and shall never cease to be grateful for them all.
