It is with a very grateful heart that I wish to testify to the healings and blessings which have come to me in Christian Science. About fourteen years ago, when three doctors agreed that a severe internal operation was necessary to save my life, I refused all medical aid, asked for help in Christian Science, earnestly studied the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and was healed, thus proving the truth of the words of Mrs. Eddy (Science and Health, p. 376), "Blood never gave life and can never take it away."

In 1934 I broke my arm and dislocated my shoulder. The arm was set without an anesthetic or drug of any kind and no pain was felt, much to the astonishment of the doctors and nurse. A few days after the accident I was able to sew, and at the end of three weeks was attending to my home duties normally. This healing has been an untold help to me, for during that time I learned more of the great lessons of life in conquering self, and through it all I felt the comforting assurance of the "gentle presence, peace and joy and power," spoken of by our beloved Leader (Poems, p. 4); in fact, I seemed to live in that much-loved hymn.

I am most grateful to the practitioners whose love and inspiration have never failed us; for class instruction, where I learned to love and appreciate Mrs. Eddy more than ever and to work more earnestly for the Cause; and for membership in The Mother Church. I think that teaching in the Sunday school has helped me more than anything, for there I have learned in some measure to understand what Christ Jesus meant when he said, "Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven."
