When I wish to express gratitude for Christian Science, I always become inarticulate because it seems quite impossible to put what I feel into human language.

During the so-called influenza epidemic of 1919, I was healed of influenza and double pneumonia within ten days, with no period of convalescence or bad aftereffects. I was also instantaneously healed of a severe case of tonsillitis.

A more recent healing of a disfiguring cyst on my forehead brought much happiness because of the spiritual growth which took place. I worked earnestly over this condition, but to no avail. Then I attended a Christian Science lecture, the subject of which was, "The Availability of Good." Pondering over this, I realized that the spiritual idea was therefore present to dispel the false belief, and since I was the reflection of Mind, I was then aware of it. The next morning it dawned on me that I was perhaps the most impatient person in the world, whereupon I determined to begin immediately to correct this false condition. I decided to wait with confidence upon divine Love and to know that "every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up." The next day the cyst opened, discharged, and healed completely without a scar.
