Mere words cannot express the joy and blessings the study of Christian Science has given me. Although we have had many healings through this Science, I am more grateful for the peace of mind which I am experiencing each day; for the better understanding I am gaining of our loving Father-Mother, God, and His spiritual ideas and His perfect universe.

The first healing we experienced was of pneumonia. My little sister was in such a serious condition that one morning the physician told my mother that she could not live through the coming night. About noon my aunt, who had been healed through Christian Science, came to our home. Upon seeing the seriousness of the case she asked my mother if she would be willing to try Christian Science. Although my mother knew nothing of this religion she willingly agreed, and a practitioner was called. The practitioner came in the afternoon and gave my sister a treatment, and leaving told my mother not to fear, for the child was in God's hands. By evening she was sitting up in bed playing, and was soon well.

Several years after this my father suddenly became ill with uremic poisoning, my mother finding him in a convulsion. My sister telephoned to an old friend for help, and as he had taken up Christian Science, instead of calling a doctor he called a practitioner. My father had had only one spasm, but was unconscious. The next day a doctor was called in on account of insurance, and he gave it as his opinion that my father would sleep himself away, as there was little chance of his ever getting over this sickness, but that should he regain consciousness he would be paralyzed, and unable to walk or work again. Every prediction the doctor made in this case was wrong, and in seven weeks my father was again working, firing a boiler and running an engine.
