I wish to express my sincere and deep appreciation of Christian Science and of what it is doing to help all mankind.
In 1897 my mother was healed almost instantaneously when about to pass on from a stomach trouble, after both allopathic and homeopathic doctors had been unable to help her. However, I did not turn to Christian Science and become a student of it until I was grown and away from home, when I was healed instantaneously of pneumonia. I felt as if I had stepped from darkness into glorious sunlight. How grateful and happy I am that for many years now this Science has been an ever-present help and source of real peace and joy. How wonderful it is to know that if we will only listen for God's guidance and realize His constant protection, in the way our beloved Leader teaches us, all will be well.
I have experienced many healings—of sin, a sense of separation when loved ones have passed on, sickness, and effects of accidents. Some of these healings were instantaneous, some took place within a short time, and a few only after long, prayerful seeking for spiritual perception and understanding. However long or short the time, I have never doubted God's power, and always remember what Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health (p. 494): "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." I wish to express my deep gratitude to the practitioners who have always given so generously of their time and spiritual understanding in my times of need.
