It is with a deep sense of gratitude for Christian Science that I give this testimony. I did not come into Science for any physical healing, because I knew nothing of its teachings. But one Sunday morning I left my home very much discouraged and despondent, not knowing which way to turn. I walked into a Christian Science church, and during the reading from the desk I was instantaneously healed. I went home rejoicing. To wait until the following Sunday seemed so long, and when at last I was again at the service, and heard the announcement about becoming a church member I was all eagerness to join.

On my way to the directors' room I met a friend who asked if I attend this church. I replied that this was only my second Sunday and that I was so impressed that I was on my way to join. She loving advised me to talk it over with a practitioner. I wondered what a practitioner had to do with my joining the church; nevertheless, I went to see one and then I heard something of Christian Science.

I have had many healings in Christian Science, some of which have been instantaneous. Insomnia, sprained ankles, colds, coughs, and influenza have been overcome. One day, suffering with a belief of neuralgia, I picked up Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and read the words (p. 393), "Man is never sick, for Mind is not sick and matter cannot be," and I was instantaneously healed. I have much to be thankful for, and my daily prayer is that I may be worthy of the name of Christian Scientist.
