I was very much interested in the editorial on "The Yogi," but while appreciating the kindly reference to Christian Science, would like to point out for the benefit of your readers that you do not apprehend the divine basis on which the teachings of Christian Science rest, and their scientific nature. In "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 21) Mary Baker Eddy writes, "As the ages advance in spirituality, Christian Science will be seen to depart from the trend of other Christian denominations in no wise except by increase of spirituality." The consciousness which Jesus possessed is entirely different from that which is commonly called the human mind. The inability to distinguish between divine Mind and the so-called human mind leads some to suppose that there is no difference between Christian Science and various systems of mental suggestion. It is of interest also to note that you are mistaken in referring to Christian Science as a "cult," as the term is usually used, for the reason that it does not depend upon or worship personality or a system of ceremonies.
