In the Preface to the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy makes this brief but comprehensive statement (p. vii), "The time for thinkers has come." And turning to the Scriptures we find in the book of Matthew the words, "If the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch."
