In your recent issue there appears a review of a book in which the reviewer states that there is more than one school of Christian Science. This is not correct. Christian Science was discovered and founded by Mary Baker Eddy, and there is only one school of it. The healings wrought by Christian Science differ from those of any other system in that they are brought about through the spiritual understanding of the divine Mind, God, and of man's relationship to Him, in contradistinction to any attempt of the human or carnal mind to heal through any form of suggestion or hypnotism. Christian Science heals mentally, morally, and physically.
What makes for happiness? Not great possessions or power, the outward and the material, for joy comes from within. It is of the spirit. Here is the unfailing recipe—a faith in God and in men which results in unselfish service. There may be times when it is difficult to trust and serve. But not at this time, when we think of the child of Bethlehem and hear the angelic chorus, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." We have again the simple trust and the joyful, loving hearts of children.
